Webster Lake Association Meeting
Point Breeze
February 21st, 2006 7 pm
- President's Report
- Introduction of speakers: Paul Kujawski and Dennis Westgate
- Presentation by Paul K on storm water project and how it is progressing. There is $ there for two years worth of projects and a $20,000 weed control stipend is built in. Paul is working hard to get the 4.5 million released as it is still frozen. Paul gave us a wonderful presentation and we the members are always glad to hear about his efforts to support the lake, town and watershed issues.
- Questions and answers on project to date
- Dennis could not attend so Paul L discussed all that has been done and needs to be done in the future. There are areas earmarked for cleanup and these are the main inflows to the lake and so must be done. The monies from the town will certainly help with our efforts. He said that lake residents could again pay for cleanup in their areas and weed raking. More info to follow soon. Summer is not far away. We need to have a new weed survey done to update reports that are now three years old.
- Outlook for the future
- The lake is cleaner and the work will be an ongoing process. If we all continue to support efforts, push the town to continue and increase support, we will do well. Paul thanked everyone for dedication to the WLA as we are making a difference. He distributed maps of the projected cleanup areas for this spring
