Goals & Mission of Association

Membership Qualifications
- Voting WLA
Members are those who pay taxes on waterfront property or have
deeded water rights
- Associate
Membership (non-voting) is open to the general public

decided that email and the website are sufficient for
communication. Only a small minority did not have access

Softball Game - Monday August,
12th
- Location:
Its at the
field behind the Polish American Citizens Club (37 Harris St).
The field is on Ray
Street. Travel north on Thompson Rd. and take a left on Lake
Street than a right on Ray St.
- Time: We
can meet at Point Breeze at 5:00 or people can show up at the
field. The game begins at 6:00.
- Charity:
Point Breeze Chicken Barbeque after the game during which we "Pass
the hat to benefit

note that the Webster Lake Association Team will be wearing
yellow shirts!

Meetings
- We will
schedule people to attend on a rotating basis
- These
volunteers will report on lake related issues at the next WLA
meeting

Next: September 10th at 7:00
- Items for
the Agenda are being collected now
- The
meetings will be held every 2nd Tuesday of the month thereafter at
Point Breeze
Note 1:
The discussion around qualifications for membership was a
difficult one for all of us. In fact, people are still debating
both sides of the issue all around the lake. It is crucially
important that we get the basic decisions made around the
structure of the organization such that we can move on to more
important things. The executive board regrets that some left
unhappy with this decision and asks your patience as we give this
a try. If we find that down the road this does not work out, we'll
revisit the issue.
Note 2:
The cost of Associate Membership was not discussed thoroughly at
our first meeting. There seems to be a lot of confusion around the
final decision. This will be re-opened for discussion at the next
WLA meeting
