The map outline is a blend of the US street map and a fish and game map and has been hand drawn by the artist. It includes the cedar swamps and small ponds that surround the lake. The map should not be used for navigational purposes. The forty-five-letter spelling was chosen for the map. The artist chose the art images that surround the lake outline after many hours of research. These images represent indigenous flora and fauna that abound in the area and include the Massachusetts state flower, bird and tree.

Massachusetts state flower – Mayflower / Trailing Arbutus Massachusetts state bird – Black capped chickadee Massachusetts state tree - American elm Massachusetts state emblem, state map outline, and American flag Algonquian peace pipe & red tailed hawk feather – representing the Nipmuc or “fresh water people” who are among the Eastern Woodland Algonquian Indians of the Eastern United States Turkey vulture – these graceful birds have a wingspan of 6 feet, glide on a warm thermal for 6 hours without flapping a wing, and dive at 60 mph across the sky. They are abundant around the lake and are often mistaken for hawks, osprey or eagles. Grey fox – even though their habitat is dwindling these hardy animals are seen regularly around Webster Lake. Lake trout & the Common Brown butterfly
